Application Usage Discovery in Kabeen

We are constantly seeking innovation to help you improve your application management and tracking. We are excited to introduce our latest feature: Usage Discovery: This new feature provides automatic insight into which teams are using applications within your organization.

How it works

Automatic usage discovery relies on our Kabeen agent deployed on user workstations. This agent tracks application usage in real-time, and when user activity is detected, Kabeen updates the application's "Usage" tab.

This feature allows you to visualize real-time application usage across your entire organization, facilitating the process of managing and maintaining your application mapping.

Validation process

To ensure data accuracy, this feature requires confirmation from a Kabeen administrator to validate adding a team to an application. This step is crucial:

  1. Integrating an application into the team's mapping highlights the application in the Kabeen agent favorites.

  2. The business matrix will then display this team as a "user" of the application.

  3. It is entirely possible that the detected usage is temporary and that the team does not use the application on an ongoing basis.

Benefits

This feature will strengthen your tracking by showing which teams frequently use specific applications. It helps identify key applications that support your business processes.

It will be particularly beneficial in environments where projects and team roles are dynamic, making it difficult to track constantly evolving application usage patterns. It will also ensure your application mapping stays up to date.
